My name is Lana Johnson.

I come from Scandinavian stock (on both sides) and draw inspiration and direction from the legacies of my grandmothers; one a spectacular hostess, decorator, chef and musician and the other a wildly intelligent, independent and spunky professional who also loved to cook, entertain and mix a strong cocktail. Both of these women modeled love, care and the ability to make all feel welcome in their presence.

These women are my inspiration, my role models, my aspirations. 

The bar is high, folks. And yet I strive.

I am a Professional Host. I take care of other people for a living. The journey to this point is a long story best discussed over drinks, but the important parts are these: I want others to feel valued and important. I want visitors to fall in love with my hometown. I want every person who stays at one of my homes/apartments/studios to feel like every detail was set up especially for them.
